God’s plan has been at work over the decades, allowing us to grow from one summer camp off Lakeshore Drive into a network of ministries. At 87 years old, our “Flagship Kamp” Kanakuk K-1 has served honorably since our inception, and this winter a $4 million donation initiated an expansion project at K-1.
We are excited to announce the ongoing expansion will revitalize the Kamp into a multipurpose facility including K-1 Kids Kamp, Kanakuk’s White River Landing Family Kamp and Kanakuk Link Year campus.
K-1 will operate 100% as a kid’s Kamp this summer, and in 2014 we will introduce Kanakuk’s White River Landing Family Kamp term options in addition to the K-1 terms for boys and girls ages 7-13.
We’re also excited for the facility to serve as the campus for our Link Year program : a high school graduate program designed to build a solid Christian worldview foundation leading students to become dynamic Christian leaders in college.
Joe White says it best: "We couldn't be more excited about the future work at K-1 and the new opportunities for your family, your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren."
Here is a sneak peak of the architectural renderings for the new buildings.
